Haeinsa Temple, one of the Three Jewel Temples of Korea, is located in the heart of Gayasan National Park about an hour and a half west of Daegu. This huge temple complex is home to the Triptaka Koreana, 81,258 wooden blocks containing the whole of the Buddhist Scriptures which date back to the 13th century.
